This single origin decaffeinated coffee was decaffeinated at the Descafecol factory in Manizales, Colombia, through a special process using water and ethyl acetate from local sugar cane.
The low boiling point of ethyl acetate allows for gentle extraction of caffeine and avoids excessive heat and pressure, so the natural cell structure of green coffee beans is preserved.
The result is an exceptionally complex decaffeinated coffee.
